IFS Consultation Groups
IFS Consultation Groups
These groups focus on IFS with an emphasis co-creation of IFS community, and speaking for parts, in a safe and supportive small group environment. Therapist Self-Presence and awareness of one's own parts in the therapy process, development of IFS case conceptualization abilities, learning Direct Access skills, and mastering the back-and-forth shifts from Direct Access to In-Sight.
Groups typically are organized as four prepaid (approximately) monthly 90 minute sessions meeting the same time and day of week. Most of the time, the membership is limited to five members. Members check-in individually in the beginning of each meeting to identify their preferred focus (case, skill, concept, issue, etc.), a starting topic is chosen and we attempt to get through everyone's topic, if possible. There is no requirement to have a topic, and many times a member (or two) is happy to learn from the topics chosen by others.
By the end of the series of four prepaid sessions, members are typically invited to renew membership for a next series of four sessions meeting (approximately) monthly the same time and day of week. When a member opts not to renew, this results in an opening, which is filled from a waiting list.
